Last Transfer to Pakret

"Hello everyone! I hope all is going well at home with everyone!! I love and miss you all!! So my week has been pretty crazy! I moved to another area! So Im still in Bangkok but just in a different district. Its called Pakret. Its way cool! Ive been to this area a bunch of times before. The members here are way cool too!! So thats exciting! I am actually opening a new area here so that has been fun! Ive been trying to find a place for us to live for the past couple of days! Right now im in a apartment that is the size of my room at home with 4 Elders there with off of our stuff! haha I sleep on a little air mattress! So thats been fun! haha not really. But I think Ive found the new place we will live:) Its a way nice Place!! It even has a dryer! I havent used a dryer in year and 8 months!! haha I teach English 2 nights a week now which i think is way fun! I have to teach the kids class! They are so wild!! But its been a good week! I am excited to see what this area has to bring! I listened to the area 70 of Thailand speak yesterday and he talked about why we need to have a testimony of Joseph Smith. It was a awesome Talk!! I know That Joseph Smith really did see Heavenly father and Jesus Christ and tat he is a prophet of God. We all need to strengthen our testimony of the truthfulness of  Joseph Smith And of The Book Of Mormon. Thats the keystone of our religion! I love and Miss you all!! Be safe and have a good week!!

"Yo what up everyone?? hows everyone doing?? I hope all is well!! I hope you all are enjoying watching the USA Dominate the Olympics!! hahah well my week has been pretty good:) I had the opprotunity to go and visit a lot of members at their houses:) Thats always quite the adventure around here!:) hahah I had  training this week that was pretty fun. Well, as fun as a training meeting can be at least haha. Its been really hot here too!! Its been kinda rainy but no really hahah. Yesterday We went to a members house that was really far away! But a ton of other members were there! I just hung out with the stake pres. the whole night! he is so funny! he has been working on making a full Ironman suit! hahah he has a lot of it finished but he is to fat to fit in it! hahah He makes it with this 3D printer thing he has! hahah So that was sweet! But it was a good busy week! Being in a Trio has been way fun! Both my comps are way sweet!! It will suck when we are not together anymore!! hahah It was a good week!! My word of the week was การผจญภัย which means Adventure!! hahah to wrap up everything i will share a quote from my favorite snowboarder "adventure is what you make of it. The Lord is Watching Over Us

Probably one of my favorite updates from Keyen :)

"Hey everyone!!:) I hope you are all doing well!:) Im doing pretty good:) So my week has gone by really fast!! But It was a good week. So I didn't get transferred which was way nice! I also stayed with my same Companion! So thats also way good!! PJ really hooked it up this transfer! haha. I had another week with a couple of opportunities to give blessings:) I went to visit this Family and the husband and wife both asked me to bless them. They were both stressed and they have to be apart a lot cause of the husbands work so that was good. Then I went to teach this poor investigator who is really having a hard time. He has panic attacks all the time and is so worried and scared of everything. He had to go the Hospital a lot to get help and he was just in bad shape. He really wants to get baptized but cant because he cant quit smoking. So we taught him about the priesthood. After teaching he asked me to give him a blessing. It was a very powerful blessing. I used words in Thai that Ive never used before. Only words Ive seen or heard. The spirit was defiantly there. After the blessing Bro. Teb ( the investigator) Said "we just went to heaven didn't we?" So way cool experience. I really hope he will have enough Faith to allow the blessing come to him:) I did a lot of Inviting this week trying to get some new investigators! They didn't come from the inviting hahaha but they did come!:) So thats way good! I would like to share a quick little spiritual thought with you all today! In life we will all face opposition. Sometimes is is not to big but other times it may seem to much to bear. Whatever it is, the savior can lift us up. He will life our burdens. He may not entirely remove the problem but he will strengthen us so we can endure and overcome. The lord is always watching over us. He knows us and loves us. He wants us to learn and grow and be happy. Since being a missionary I have needed to rely on the Lord more than ever. I could not have made it this far without his divine help and guidance. I know that the lord loves us all. And is anxiously waiting to help us and poor out blessing upon us. All we need to do is simply, ASK. I love and miss you all!! Lucky Charms

"Yo yo yo! what up everyone? I hope you are all doing good! My week has been a pretty good one:) really nothing too exciting has happened. But it was a good productive week. We met this new investigator who is way solid so hopefully she will progress well. She came to church yesterday and brought her mom too so that was really good. This week it has rained way hard almost everyday. That is a nice change from the usual blazing heat and humidity! I went to this grocery store for foreigners and hit the jackpot!!:) They had so much good stuff!!! hahah But it was all pretty expensive! But I came out of there with a Doctor Pepper, A cherry coke, and a bag of flaming hot munchies! So that was way awesome!! I might go back and get some Lucky Charms!! haaha but we'll see what happens. Today I'm going to the gym! Its this way nice gym! I used my powers of compulsion and got me and the other Elders a free three days!! so that will be way nice to hit the gym this week! So yea not a whole lot to report on! Oh something funny, So our sink in the kitchen has been having some issues! It keeps on leaking a ton of water whenever you use it! Ive had to call the plummer  like 4 times and he still hasn't fixed it! I had to wash the dishes outside with the hose last night!! haha So thats been fun! So im doing good!! I love and miss you all!!:) Have a good week:)

He Will Lift and Carry You

"Yo whats up everyone!? I hope you all are doing good and are happy and healthy!!:) My week has been a pretty good one:) My stomach finally has gotten better after a couple of weeks of having issues! hahah so thats nice! Transfers was this week and I wanted to stay sooo bad! And I did!! so thats great! I got a new companion! His name is Elder Christensen. He is a way good guy! He's been out for about 10 months. So he is way solid. This week we were able to find some pretty solid investigators and make good progress with the old ones we had:) We have a few people who want to be baptized so now its just a matter of helping them prepare to do so. It been way rainy here lately which has been way nice. There has been some way loud thunder storms in the night! So thats been fun. Because of my increased health Ive been able to Destroy P90x which is way good! It makes me feel good when I can work out hard:) So yea everything is going great! A cool experience Happened yesterday while i was in church. So There is this Guy that has become a way good friend of mine:) His name is Ken. Ken is Thai but spent most his life in England and in America. So he is strange because he dose not speak either Thai or English fluently! haha But he came to our church yesterday for testimony meeting. When he joined the church he was in England and learned in English so her isn't familiar with the gospel terms in Thai. So He asked me if I would translate for him while he bore his testimony so i did. And he bore such a powerful testimony!! It was hard to translate because I was feeling the spirit so strong. One thing That I really loved that he said was." When Jesus came to earth, he established one church. Not many different churches. And this church is that church that he established."  It was soo cool. He is just a young guy about 20 years old but he is awesome!! So that was honestly the highlight of my week! I love and miss you all!! Remember that the lord is always with you. And will lift you and carry you. Just Follow him. "

Corbin and Keyen went to the same high school and played tennis together. He also served a mission in Thailand and when he went back to visit he got to see Keyen! So jealous!!

Beach Views

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a good Mother's Day last weekend and especially to all of you who got to talk to your missionaries. This will hopefully be the last time we will have to Skype Elder Neal. His release date is December 16th. He will get to come home a few days earlier because the church doesn't want missionaries traveling the week of christmas or new years because as we know traveling that time of year can be CRAZY and not to mention SUPER expensive. So Keyen got to choose if we wanted to leave on the 16th or after New Years.

Anyway our Skype session was great! It's not as hard to say goodbye because Keyen doesn't seem sad or lonely at all. He is so focused and in total missionary mode. So if he is good we are all good. He told us some great stories and what it has been like as a district leader so that was awesome! We all are dying for December 16th!!

Here's what Elder Neal said about the week...

" So this week was pretty good:) I was actually sick most the week but I lived:) So now I am close to having my toes fully healed from the curse of ingrown toenails!!! So hopefully soon I will be to 100%!! I got to go to the beach this week!! I went with the members for a ward activity!! So that was way fun!! Not a whole lot happened this week just the same old stuff. The work is going good. We have a couple of people who will most likely be baptized here pretty soon:) so that is awesome!!:) I love and miss you all!!!:) be safe! You are in my prayers!!:)

Back to Bangkok

I am posting 2 updates from the last 2 weeks.

"Yo yo what up everyone!! Well I moved!! I was surprised to leave Surin but hey what can you do? It was hard leaving though! I made some really good friends there!! I will miss all of those guys for sure!! So My new area in in Bangkok. Its called Thonburi.(tone-boory) It in the city. Its the older part of bangkok. But I like it! I like being in Bangkok! So ive met a lot of the member here and they seem way cool!!! Apparently this place is really important at the moment. PJ needs this area to stay good and to grow in the next moth or two so they cal slit into 2 stakes. So I got to try to get this place going! The bishop wants me to have a fireside about missionary work to get the members all pumped up! So That should be fun. I got some good ideas. My new Companion Is Elder Wan. He is from Cali and is half Chinese. This is only his third transfer so hes pretty young in the mission. In my house I have one of my homies Elder Merrill. I was with him in Lopburi for 2 transfers so we are stoked to be together again He is my workout buddy. I converted him to P90X back in Lopburi:) So all is going well. This new area should be fun. I love and miss you all!!!

"Whats up everyone!?:) I hope you are all doing good:) My week was pretty good!! Lost of funny things happened this week. And some cool miracles Also! So the cool miracle was.... One day we went to go help the Sister missionaries teach one of there investigators. And so the lesson was pretty short. So after the lesson was over we weren't sure what to do. We were debating on either going back to the church or to go do some inviting. For some reason we decided to go to the church. I wasn't really too sure why we were going there but we felt like we needed to go. So we get tot he church and within 5 min the relief society Pres shows up. She says hello and starts doing some relief society stuff. Then like 5 min after that some random lady walks into the church. I was in the other room but I could hear her talking to the relief society pres. She Said something about Learning English so I went over to talk to her. I told her that English class starts in about an hour so she could wait if she wanted. Then she says " Actually  Im really not interested in learning English. I want to learn about the scriptures and Jesus Christ." So we gladly taught her right there about Heavenly father and prayer. We met with her 2 more times after that and she excepted a date to be Baptized! She is so good!! So prepared by the lord!! I didn't even have to do anything!! So that was way cool!! Then 1 funny thing that happened was one night the power on our second floor in our house wasn't working!! Thats a big problem cuz we couldn't use the washing machine!! I didn't have any clean shirts for the next day!! So we were looking at the fuse box and couldn't figure out what was wrong. So then, Elder Merill Grabs a roll of toilet paper and chucks it at the fuse box!! and Then All the lights turn on and The washing machine works!! hahah who knew that toilet paper  could be used for fixing fuse boxes?:) hahah So its been a good week!!!
